First Annual Exhibition Gala

Exhibition and Gala

In September of 2011, the Academy of Classical Design hosted its first public Exhibition and Gala to introduce the work and goals of this singular institution. Highlights from the full curriculum were on display in both the Cast Studio and the Prints and Drawings Room, demonstrating the Academy’s unique emphasis on design in the revival of the classical tradition.

Included with a wide variety of student exhibition pieces were selected works from the collection of director Jeffrey Mims. These included museum copies from his own student years in Europe, as well as an original portrait by the late Italian maestro, Pietro Annigoni.

Thank you to all the creative people who contributed to the success of this very special evening, and for their continued support in a number of exciting future plans.
